Shooting and firearms training is a big part of Hinderer Knives. Rick was after a cleaning kit that would cover a wide range of guns in one set up, versus dragging numerous kits and rods around. Well we stumbled over the Otis 85211 and found just what we were looking for in a nice compact package. We’ve been using these kits since the SHOT show and have been extremely pleased with their performance, so we thought it would be a good idea to add them to our product line up. These are just the beginning, you will see other firearms and outdoor related products from us in the future. Otis Cleaning Kits!

Knife Rights – Blade Show Fundraising XM-18

We are pleased to announce that Rick has decided to make a very special, one of a kind XM-18 for the KnifeRights organization fundraiser at this years Blade Show, June 10-12! KnifeRights.org provides knife and edged tool owners an effective voice to influence public policy and to oppose efforts to restrict the right to own, use and carry knives and edged tools. They also educate knife owners about the history of knives, laws and regulations and help to defend knife owners and their civil rights through litigation.

Fundraising XM-18 3.5″ Details: The blade will feature a full hand-rubbed satin finish, something never before offered on an XM-18 Folder. The titanium framelock and liner will be meticulously hand file-worked by Rick in great detail. Rick’s file work will be topped with polished hardware throughout and finished with a smooth midnight black carbon fiber handle scale.

Hinderer Knives – 3-Day Knife Event JULY 29-31

We just locked down the dates for our next knife event! Friday the 29th will be a relaxed day, camp set up and get together. We will also have plenty of other things scheduled for Friday, so stay tuned. On the 30-31st we are going to offer the same 2-day TDI knife defense class as we did in February, but this time we are going to have things to do for those that want to come out, but who may not want to attend the knife class. Since the weather will be warm this time, we welcome you to come out and camp, fish, and enjoy knife and outdoor related seminar’s, etc. Of course those attending the class will have the opportunity to purchase an XM training knife, and for those who aren’t attending the class, there will be plenty of knives and gear for sale also.

There will be an active thread in our Forum with full details, so please check it out periodically if you want to attend!

1st XM-18 “Trainer” finished today

The first XM-18 Trainer

This is the first “trainer” type knife I have ever made! I made these especially for our 1st (but not last) Hinderer Knives/TDI defensive knife class to be held this weekend! These special XM-18′s with the trainer blades will only be available to those enrolled in the class…so these will indeed be special! I am also making live blades to go with these trainer blades and they will be serial numbered! More to follow on our first class this weekend!……Rick
