Congrats on a nice knife. I've got an XM with the same Blue/Black scales. Never get tired of seeing the XM pictures.
When I first got my XM-18 Striders were still in my EDC rotation, then less Strider and more Hinderer. While I still like my Striders,... my EDC rotation consists of 100% Hinderers now. Feel naked leaving the house without them. The more I hold and use my XM-18, the more I like it.Kraig

I Hear ya Kraig! I own two XMs and 2 flashpoints. They are the ultimate EDC knife! I am really hoping to get one of the new XM-24s. That thing just looks like a beast.

Received my XM-24 (S35VN blade) about a month ago and have used it as my EDC since. Lots of heavy cutting chores on a fishing boat, some small, some very heavy...this XM is amazing! I wish I could stay dedicated to my Striders but in all honest I cannot.
Reliability is 'King' with me where cutting line, rope, etc. are concerned as a matter of safety. One might think if that is such an issue, why not use a fixed blade? Well, when you have to bend and contort all day on the job sometimes a fixed blade doesn't 'cut it' (no pun intended) insofar as comfort is concerned. For some reason, with me, a folder clipped to my pocket poses no comfort issues in the area of being obtrusive, but their is always that fear in the back of my mind which I am sure many of you feel too... With this XM's build quality and form that fear is gone. It affords the security of a fixed blade when in my hand more so than any other folder I have ever held. That's peace of mind.
I'm nuts about this tool! It cleans up well too. For what its worth a big salute to Rick and Rob for a job well done. The BEST...second to none.

pingpongchamp, you are quite correct, the 24 IS a beast. But it's a beast like a Porsche or a Rolex. Handles extremely easily for its size. Rotation and lock-up, well... as you would expect. 'Nuff said.
