Hi!
Sorry I'm late...
Hi!
Sorry I'm late...
Hey Kraeken. Welcome man... you're not too late. It's just starting.

I just received my XM-18 in January, and it is phenomenal! I couldn't be more pleased with it. I am amazed at the fact that it is both a work-horse, and a work of art. It's by far the best looking knife I've ever seen, and it is built TOUGH. Absolutely outstanding work, sir!
I'm loving the new website, too! Do you have any plans to repeat the TDI classes in the future? It looks like some good training, and like everyone had a great time, too.
Thanks for everything!
~Andy B.
Good morning Gents...just wanted to say "hi"...I've got my first 3.5" flipper on order (can't wait!) and already eyeing a non-flipper...don't know what the old website looked like but great site Rick!
Congratulations on your first Hinderer on it's way. Post a picture when you get it. Never get tired of the photos.

woohoo...new site looks great bud!!
Hello Everyone,
The new site looks awesome! Long time oringinal owner of a beautiful Firetac Extreme (#11) ordered from Rick directly ( I'm the construction worker from New York Rick). Just put my order in today for an Extreme duty pen in blue aluminum, and a lanyard with blue titanium bead to match my FireTac Extreme. Can't wait to get them!
John
Welcome John and congrats on your Extreme Duty pen! I have an Extreme Duty and an Investigator pen. Love both of them.
One of these days I'd love to see a pic of your Firetac Extreme.

This is my first post and I would like to greet everybody on this site. I hope to own Hinderer knives in the future.

Hi All,
Wanted to stand up and say hi from the UK - got my first of Rick's knives (3.5" flipper) about three weeks ago from Austria ( very hard to get your hands on the UK ) and it lives up to all my expectations, considering moving on from whittling wood and trees to using it to whittle trucks out of blocks of solid steel!
Cheers All
Rich
Welcome Rich! Glad to hear you were able to get one of the best knives in the world.
Welcome Rich. Glad you were able to get a 3.5" Flipper in the UK. I'll be waiting to see that truck whittled out of a block of steel.
I'm in the US but hope to make it to Scotland, and maybe upper England this coming year. Is it OK to have a framelock knife there in public, say clipped to my pocket in the UK? I was intending to check-up on local laws before I go, but haven't yet.

Hi Mike and Kraig,
Thanks for the welcome from you both, glad I was able to get the knife and then even happier when it arrived with me in the UK.
Kraig, although I'm no expert, the laws in this country concerning knives are very very tight. No lockable blades of any type, no fixed blades are allowed to be carried in public. The only public carry knives are sub 3" slipjoints or friction folders. The best forum in the UK - which will cover the law in more detail is http://www.britishblades.com - have a trawl through and the laws and discussions on them/cases relating to them are there.
When I'm out and about in the wilderness my knifes always secure inside my pack until such time as I need it or am near to needing it. In my car it's always in my pack in my locked boot (or truck I think you call it in the States). Even then you need a good reason to have it.
If your bringing it into the county always have it in your main luggage never your hand luggage. I always find the best way to deal with the Police and any such situation is to be polite and know your rights.
I'm hoping this helps and the reality is that 99.9% of the time it doesn't matter as rural policing is very low priority in this county and so your probably be fine - but i'd hate to see a Hinderer get confiscated and destroyed!
If you have any other questions please feel free to fire them over! : )
All the best
Rich
Thanks for the info Rich. I'll check out that site. I've been to Scotland before but didn't bring a knife. I'll be staying in upper Scotland in in a pretty rural area and hopefully get some phesant hunting in with a client that lives there. I think I'll leave my Hinderer's and bring a slip joint.

No Probs Kraig,
Northern Scotlands beautiful - taking the family up to the Cairngorms for a holiday this summer so my eldest and me can get some climbing in. Anything else you need give me a shout :)
All the best
Rich
Hi Everyone,
Enjoyed looking through the website and the cool pics. Great job, Kraig. Thank you so much Rick Hinderer, Rob Orlando and the rest of the team for creating such a quality, form and function-wise, product. It's a pleasure to handle and use your knives- always brings about a childish grin. I've just realized an affinity for sharp edged tools and it looks like I'll be in this new hobby for life. Thank you so much, again and keep up the excellent work and outstanding customer service.
Best regards,

Hi from South Africa.
The site looks awesome guys!
I dont own a Hinderer (yet) but one day I hope to own a 3.5 inch XM18 with brown titanium framelock. I also aim to visit Rick and everyone at the shop one day when I fly to the States.
Marthinus beat me to it, but another South African.
Love the knives and have been eyeing them for a while now.
Hello all,
Glad to be a part of the Forums and look forward to continued great products from Hinderer Knives!
Very Respectfully,
Adam
