The Ranch style started with the XM-18 as a multipurpose heavy-duty workhorse and its no different with the Ranch series. The Spanto style grind is very versatile in that it allows for a “slicing” style of blade but with a heavier “armored” tip. The “harpoon” style of top line gives it that bad ass type of look while giving a bit more meat to the blade. This first edition is made in the popular Vintage style. The blade is made of 0-1 tool steel and then parkarized just like old vintage firearms and knives of WW2. The sheath is a heavy duty leather sheath handmade by local Amish craftsmen. It uses heavy stitching with reinforcing grommets at the throat.
